"A Nation Led by Women Will Fail?" Apostate Scholar Exposes Islamic Leadership Laws

Ibn-Qudamah:
1864 - Issue: Abu al-Qasim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: (A judge shall not be appointed unless he is adult, sane, Muslim, free, just, knowledgeable, a jurist, and pious).
The summary is that three conditions are required in a judge: one of them is perfection, which is of two types: perfection of legal qualifications and perfection of physical constitution. As for perfection of legal qualifications, it is considered in four matters: that he be adult, sane, free, and male.... And because the judge is present at gatherings of opponents and men, and needs complete discernment, full intellect, and insight, and the woman is deficient in intellect, weak in judgment, not fit to be present at gatherings of men, nor is her testimony accepted even if there were a thousand women like her, unless there is a man with them.
Ibn-Uthaymeyyen:
The third: His saying: "male", as opposed to female and hermaphrodite. So the judge must be male. The evidence for stipulating maleness is that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Never will succeed a people who entrust their affairs to a woman."

AbdelQadir Awda:
·
It is required for the imam or caliph to be male, because the woman by her nature is not suited for the leadership of the state, nor for what this position entails of hardships, continuous work, leading armies, and managing affairs. Also, Islam prohibited the leadership of women by the saying of the Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him -: "Never will succeed a people who entrust their affairs to a woman," and in another narration: "Never will succeed a people who appoint a woman over their affairs."
Kitab al-Tashil fi fiqh Imam-Ahmed:
Fifth: Conditions of the Greater Imamate (Caliphate):
e - That he be male; so he cannot be female; due to the hadith of Abu Bakrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Never will succeed a people who entrust their affairs to a woman." [Narrated by al-Bukhari]
